Final year Electronic Engineering student Nicole Jackson leads a life dedicated to hard work and study. Realising Nicole is at a moment in her life when she is about to venture in to the world on her own, her parents decide to take her on one last camping trip to spend time with their daughter.

Heading for the beautiful Welstree forest, the family sets up camp and Nicole goes for a walk on her own in the forest. Nicole encounters a mysterious girl wandering among the trees and she is suddenly overwhelmed with images of people she does not know and the emergence of an unknown force.

When Nicole awakens from her dream-like haze, she makes her way back to the camping spot, only to find no trace of her parents.

Found unconscious by the police several days later, Nicole is taken to a counselling centre. Forensic psychologist Carla Morgan attempts to unravel the mystery surrounding Nicole's situation. Wanting to provide a source of stability for Nicole, Carla brings her to her uncle, Russell Jackson, a rich businessman who for some unknown reason is reluctant to take responsibility for Nicole. For Carla, this is especially difficult as she has had a previous relationship with Russell and she has not fully accepted the cessation of their romance.

The crossover of the lives of Nicole, Russell and Carla are facilitated by Rachel, the mysterious girl Nicole saw in the forest.

Driven by an unknown agenda, Rachel helps Nicole uncover hidden secrets within her own family; secrets that will radically change Nicole's perspective on her life and what she has always believed to be true.
